I love the Blue Heron’s beautiful, long beak and what it represents.  The Blue Heron’s beak is where their power lies.  It is the source of their nourishment and existence.   Just like the Blue Heron’s beak, human power lies not so much in a physical part of our body, but in our hope, our faith in something much more significant and greater than ourselves.  As you will find gold in the beak of the blue heron and hidden gems of gold throughout my paintings, this gold depicts, and is pointing to, the hope that we have in looking beyond our circumstances at the gold that lies within them (the good, the value that can come out of those circumstances) if we will look for it.   Often, that gold is pointing us to the power that we have through our creator to be over comers, to rise above difficult situations, and always find the good, the value in the situations we face in life.  Look for the Gold!
